MIP Diagnostics Ltd

MIP Diagnostics Ltd was founded in 2015 as a spin out from the University of Leicester in order to commercialise various forms of Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs), sometimes called "plastic antibodies".

NanoMIPS are nanostructured polymer particles typically containing a single binding site for their target. They are sufficiently small to be essentially soluble and their robust nature make them ideal reagents for a wide range of applications including point-of-care diagnostics and in field based testing. They can withstand harsh chemical environments, such as extremes of pH, seawater or high concentrations of organic solvents. NanoMIPs have successfully been created and deployed against all major target classes including peptides, proteins, drugs, metabolites, toxins and viruses.  No immune response is required and no animals are used in the manufacture of MIPs.

The European Laboratory Research & Innovation Group (ELRIG) is a UK-based, not-for-profit organisation, hosting scientific meetings and conferences tailored to address the changing needs of the drug discovery and life science communities. Their primary objective is to provide free to attend meetings which deliver world-class scientific programmes and exhibitions and provide a forum for delegates from academia and the biopharma industry to network and share knowledge with colleagues.

MaxCyte is a leader in cell transfection, bringing to market its patented flow electroporation technology. MaxCyte's customers and partners utilize its technologies in the development and commercialization of cell-based therapies in regenerative medicine and active cell immunotherapies and in the discovery and development of protein drugs, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and small molecule drugs. Their instrumentation is currently placed in most of the major global pharmaceutical companies and is used for high throughput/high content screening and preclinical protein production.

MaxCyte have partnered with EuroScitech to get further penetration into the European marketplace.

The Electrospinning Company

The Electrospinning Company (Oxfordshire) develops and manufactures electrospun polymer scaffolds which provide an ideal environment for supporting the growth of cells in 3D. They sell a range of ready-to-use, sterile tissue culture plates containing the Mimetix scaffold for drug discovery where more predictive in vitro 3D cell-based assays could reduce the rate of expensive clinical failures and replace certain animal studies. In 2013 they launched the Mimetix 96-well plate and in 2015 the 384-well format for high throughput assays. Their technology is easy to use and delivers highly consistent data.

ExpreS2ion Biotechnologies

ExpreS2ion Biotechnologies is a world leading Biotech Company within protein production in Drosophila Schneider-2 (S2) cells. It has a proprietary and complete S2 recombinant protein technology with in-depth practical experience with the Drosophila S2 expression technology for the production of recombinant proteins for preclinical development and for use in clinical trials. ExpreS2ion Biotechnologies offers services related to vector development, cell line development, cloning, upstream development and optimization, and production of GLP material. A partnership between ExpreS2ion Biotechnologies and Euroscitech now offers aspects of the technology to the wider life science market. Euroscitech will commercialise products for transfection, expression and protein purification aimed specifically at enabling researchers to access an expression system for complex and difficult to purify proteins at high concentration.


PhyNexus Inc.

PhyNexus, Inc. is a US based company with a technology for HTP, microscale automated protein purification.
Prior to partnering with Euroscitech, they were largely R&D focused with direct technical selling from their California HQ with a few proof of principle technology sales in Europe.

Euroscitech became their European business organisation for an exclusive five year period and achieved sales growth at an average rate of 35% year on year. Taking this very much from proof of principle to an established sales product line shows how Euroscitech cover the entire sales process from profiling early sales leads, reference selling within organisations, to key account management.
Throughout this Euroscitech actively searched for key opinion leaders and new companies to sell to as well as identifying new applications and product areas for the client to take back into R&D and develop the product pipeline.
All this was underpinned with a European wide marketing strategy to increase brand and product awareness to new customers.
